On May 25th, the European regional office for the World Health Organization released a new report on electronic nicotine and non-nicotine delivery systems.

In the report, the regional office took a new stance on the products stating “non-pregnant adult smokers who completely and promptly switch from combustible tobacco cigarettes to use of unadulterated and appropriately regulated EN&NNDS alone might reduce their health risks.”

This week before #WorldNoTobaccoDay we hosted a panel discussion on how this could affect tobacco harm reduction in WHO member-states and what that means for those looking to quit smoking. Our panelists included Julie Woessner (INNCO Board President), Dr. David Abrams (NYU School of Global Public Health), & Dr. Raymond Niaura (NYU School of Global Public Health).
